Report: Russian high court gets Telegram’s suit vs security service
MOSCOW, Dec 28 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Supreme Court registered on Tuesday a lawsuit filed by messenger Telegram against the Federal Security Service ordering organizers of information distribution in the Internet to share data with the authority, business daily Vedomosti reported late on Wednesday on its Web site.
The suit was submitted by Telegram Messenger Limited Liability Partnership, and the Federal Security Service is a respondent. Telegram’s interests at court will be presented by Ramil Akhmetgaliyev, a lawyer of international human rights group Agora.
The Federal Security Service did not comment on the matter.
